Iztaccihuatl (from Nahuatl: White woman asleep), with a height of 5,286msnm, is a real challenge for those who want to better themselves. Without a doubt worth every drop of sweat, loss of breath and feelings of fatigue experienced throughout ascent. Not in vain that is the 3rd. highest mountain in Mexico

This expedition has several formats to do it. The ascent is made ​​in accordance with the physical preparation you arrive.
  1. With the previous Aventureros training (8 weeks), consider a 3 day trip for the climb (with transportation from Monterrey).
  2. With training on your own. Consider a 5 day adventure to climb and we will meet you in Amecameca. This format requires camp at different altitudes and we assume that you come with excellent physical conditioning.

In both cases all begins in Amecameca, Estado de Mexico (At the foot of volcanoes). There will prepare logistic arrangements so that you achieve summit.

You will spend 1 or 2 nights in the "Altzomoni" shelter and do a couple of acclimatization hikes. On these hikes you will be evaluated by the guide, assess your performance and adaptation to altitude. He will decide what is the right time to reach the summit.

It is essential that count the proper equipment for mountaineering (See list below). No need to buy it, we have rental options or you can get it with yours friends.

Expeditions are scheduled from october to february, avoiding rain.


Difficulty

Advanced: this route requires experience in hiking and rappel, the route involves walking in paths, between stones and can have down-climbing. This cannot be your first excursion with AVENTUREROS® we recommend a trip with a lower level of difficulty before you can make this one with us. EXCELLENT phisycal condition is required and no one with overweight is admitted.
